Berkeley College fashion students had the opportunity to participate in Rockaway Mall's the Prom Fashion Show 2014. The show featured trending prom styles for the upcoming year targeting the audience of high school students. The show was held in the Macy's court of the mall, and was open to all shoppers to view either in the audience or passing by. Dresses were borrowed by the retailer's Cache, Lord & Taylor, DEB, and JC Penney; while suits and tuxedos were borrowed from the retailer Bach Rach. Jewelry was borrowed by the retailer Francesca's. Berkeley College students were styled models into three looks; glamour, punk rock, and colorful fun. Models were given to the students from a modeling agency to walk in the show; with the exception of two Berkeley College students who also walked in the show. Although stylists put the looks on the models, they were also given the opportunity to walk in the fashion show and model accessories from Francesca's. Josephine Elliott, Woodland Park Fashion student and stylist, said " It was a fun experience and I was excited to work with amazing people. I also enjoyed modeling for Francesca's accessories." Overall Berkeley College students did an amazing job and put on a great show! Jinean Najjar, Woodland Park Fashion student and Fashion Show Coordinator, had the opportunity to host the fashion show and oversee all volunteers in the show and assign positions with the help from her assistant Aqueelah Gramby (Woodbridge Fashion student). A special thank you to Ashante Barnes-Awe (Clifton and Dover SDCL-Director) and Jennifer Litvak (Online SDCL-Director) for helping organize the show with the Rockaway Mall, and a special thank you to all student volunteers for styling, coordinating, and managing the show.

We will strive to engage as actively as we can outside the classroom by creating events, hot topics, and sharing fashion ideas. We will meet every Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Student Lounge.
